ROSS MACKENZIE IS AN IDIOT

Ross is the retired editor of the Editorial page at the Times-Dispatch, yet he still writes Conservative propaganda for the paper.

The Op/Ed section of the Times-Dispatch Sunday paper has always been troublesome to read. Its not just the words that trouble me, its the level of ignorance shown by my fellow statesmen.

Ross cherry picks quotes to further his agenda in trying to convince others that the Country and all its problems are at the fault of "Liberals" and not that of the corrupt party in charge IE: Conservatives.

Ross Mackenzie is one of the reasons why the USA is in such a deep hole filled with shit. Continuing to be a cheerleader for failed leadership and failed policies shows Mackenzie's true colors. He's nothing short of a brown-nosed Brownshirt propagandist.

Here a tip to cure some of your headache Ross ...

Get your head out of your ass, and Bush's nuts out of your mouth! Then maybe you won't be such a tool.

Here's a bonus tip Ross (no charge) ...

You might want to try NOT to look/dress like your BFF & idol Richard Bruce "The Dick" Cheney ... It's soooo obvious.

Blogger.com slowdown??

The past several days I've experienced a dramatic slowdown with blogger.com.

When typing my text shows up slowly delayed many seconds later . I didn't have these problems last week.

I'll give it a couple more days before I start to complain to TPTB.

A BOY I NEVER KNEW

A BOY I NEVER KNEW

To have his arms around me, to sense his perfect trust
I’d give all I ever had…all I ever had…

I’d love to see him dream, I’d love to watch him sleep
To have his arms around me, ?
Held his arms in mine, sense his perfect trust
I’d give all I ever had for a moment of his love

He’s my heart and my soul
He’s my blood and my bones
He’s my prayers and my hope
My wishes and dreams
Seems so long ago, so long ago…

I’d love to watch him dream, love to see him sleep
To have his arms around me, feel him as he breathes
Hold his hands in mine, sense his perfect trust
I’d give all I ever had for a moment of his love

He’s my heart and my soul
He’s my blood and my bones
He’s my prayers and my hopes
My wishes and dreams
Seems so long ago…

He’s my blood and my bones
He’s my heart and my soul
He’s my prayers and my hopes
My wishes and dreams

A boy I never knew
And the man I’ll never know
I’ll never know, I'll never know…

To have his arms around me, sense his perfect trust
I’d give all I ever had…

The Cure debuted "A Boy I Never Knew" this past weekend in Mexico.
If you like to listen please have a look here for the lossless download link. MANY THANKS JEFF!

My opinion?

Robert's lyrics are so powerful flowing seem-less alongside with the elegant and beautiful playing from Porl, Simon and Jason.
Such a lovely song... and its been such a long time waiting. (Even though it was written back in 2004)

I'm really looking forward to their upcoming album next Spring!

NDSU BISON

Look out!! The Bison coming!!

Next year the NDSU Bison enter NCAA Division I football, and after two dominating wins against Central Michigan and Minnesota the Bison proved they can play with the big boys.

The Bison and their fans have great expectations for next year!! The rest of the nation better look out!!

Some things to think about:

- North Dakota State (6-0), who have won 10 games in a row are No. 2 in the
GPI.

- NDSU Running Back Tyler Roelh named Co-Great West Offensive Player Of The Week.

- NDSU's Tyler Roehl added to the Sports Network's Payton Award Watch List.

- Bison Linebacker Joe Mays remains on the Sports Network's Buchanan Award List.

WHEW!!!

One word to describe today's Cardnials vs Redskins game.

4-2 is a great record, but I'm not putting to much into this season as long as the the O continues to go 3-and-out.

New Pinhead?

I really hope this works out. A remake of the original sounds very exciting!

Variety reports that Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo have been hired to write and direct a Hellraiser remake, to be produced by Barker. The article mentions Rob Zombie's Halloween reboot as a catalyst for the new film, which Maury and Bustillo have previously described as less of a true remake than a reimagining featuring a new story and a new Pinhead.

Canned Spam

Hopefully more will be convicted.

Two men were sentenced to more than five years in prison for their part in sending millions of pornographic spam messages, marking the conclusion of the first major case under the 2003 federal CAN-SPAM anti-spam law.

Jeffrey Kilbride, 41, of Venice, Calif., and James Schaffer, 41, of Paradise Valley, Ariz., were convicted in June by a federal jury in Phoenix on eight counts that included violations of the CAN-SPAM Act, which bans the use of falsified e-mail headers and the spoofing of domain names. Their case was the first to include CAN-SPAM charges.

Those Lucky Chinese

China's Communist Government has really stepped up their efforts to have more human rights human censors for its citizens.
The government has built a patchwork system of controls that include software to root out offensive keywords and block blacklisted web sites. Government censors, known as Net nannies, surf the web looking for pornography, subversive political content or other illegal material. Major Internet portals like Sohu.com Inc. and Sina Corp. employ their own censors to make sure nothing runs afoul of government restrictions.

Friday FUD

More FUD from Microsoft.

Plaintiffs IP Innovation and Technology Licensing Corp. claim to have the rights to U.S. Patent No. 5,072,412 for a User Interface with Multiple Workspaces for Sharing Display System Objects issued Dec. 10, 1991 along with two other similar patents.

Defendants Red Hat Inc. and Novell have allegedly committed acts of infringement through products including the Red Hat Linux system, the Novell Suse Linex Enterprise Desktop and the Novell Suse Linex Enterprise Server.

"Red Hat's and Novell's infringement, contributory infringement and inducement to infringe has injured plaintiffs and plaintiffs are entitled to recover damages adequate to compensate them for such infringement but in no event less than a reasonable royalty," the original complaint states.

Jason Campbell - NFC Player of The Week

Washington Redskin's Quarterback Jason Campbell has proved to be every bit of the leader the Redskins had always hoped for since drafting him as the 25th overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft.

Campbell was named NFC Offensive Player of The Week during the Redskins 34-3 win over the Detroit Lions as he completed 23-of-29 for 248 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions for a career high QB rating of 125.3.

These next few years are going to be great to witness as a Redskin fan. Its been over a decade since Washington has had a franchise Quarterback. Jason Campbell is a franchise Quarterback and more, and hopefully soon he can bring the Lombardi Trophy back home to D.C. where it belongs.

OLPC AWESOMENESS

Here is awhy I still think the OLPC project will be a great success.

In November, you’ll be able to buy a new laptop that’s spillproof, rainproof, dustproof and drop-proof. It’s fanless, it’s silent and it weighs 3.2 pounds. One battery charge will power six hours of heavy activity, or 24 hours of reading. The laptop has a built-in video camera, microphone, memory-card slot, graphics tablet, game-pad controllers and a screen that rotates into a tablet configuration.

The laptop consumes an average of 2 watts, compared with 60 or more on a typical business laptop. That’s one reason it gets such great battery life. A small yo-yo-like pull-cord charger is available (one minute of pulling provides 10 minutes of power); so is a $12 solar panel that, although only one foot square, provides enough power to recharge or power the machine.

Radiohead misses the point

All the hype surrounded around Radiohead's latest release what just that ... Hype.

I've been a Radiohead fan since the early 90's, and was very happy to learn when the band
had announced the "Pay What You Want" hoopla.

But it now looks as if I'll have to wait to purchase the new LP in physical form (CD) other than the version offered via download.

The year is 2007 and you expect some fans to pay for an something thats compressed and lossy? I'm not going to get into an audiophile rant, but I'm sure its not asking much to at least notify us fans of this crap before we purchase anything.
